Cody Rhodes and Seth Rollins’ entrance through the crowd was a noteworthy gesture for various reasons. For starters, it improves their standing as men of the people. People…people…a champion for the people?! Yes, this was undoubtedly done to demonstrate that The Rock had lost the moniker to Cody and Seth (but primarily Cody) in 2024.
Second, it may have been a subtle dig at Roman Reigns. He used to enter through the crowds before his ‘Tribal Chief’ campaign began. Perhaps this writer is overthinking it, but there’s a chance WWE was attempting to depict the ‘Hollywood’ squad as laborers who have forgotten their modest beginnings.
Rhodes slammed Rocky back into reality. Literally.
SmackDown’s concluding segment was not the only highlight of this two-hour weekly show. Tiffany Stratton continues to excel, Bianca Belair teases a heel change once more, and creative is doing a good job keeping AJ Styles vs. LA Knight interesting without having both guys brawl.
