Eminem Makes Fun Of His “Lyrical Miracle” Raps In A Confrontation With Slim Shady

Eminem addressed his Slim Shady alter ego during a new interview for Complex’s The Face-Off series to promote his latest album, The Death of Slim Shady (Coup de Grâce). In one famous scene from the video, Shady mocks Eminem for performing “lyrical miracle” raps rather than releasing pleasant music.

“Everything that people associate with Eminem is f*cking yours truly. From the blonde hair to the middle finger to the f*cking jokes, it’s all me. And, let’s be honest, the music you’ve been dropping since I bounced isn’t it.

Look buddy, nobody cares about your poetic marvels; you’re frightening the hoes. People want to be entertained,” Shady tells Eminem at one point. Em defends herself: “So you think it’s entertaining to just be a d*ckhead and piss people off?”

He responded by explaining why Shady is no longer relevant in today’s world: “Every other week on TikTok, Gen Z discovers you on Monday and cancels me on Tuesday.

When was the last time you mocked someone who wasn’t a pop star, a non-rapping celebrity, or f*cking underprivileged communities? It’s f*cking 2024. Allow individuals to live their lives. This sh*t has nothing to do with you. It isn’t that hard. Just respect whatever individuals want to be called and keep things flowing.” Check out the entire back-and-forth below.
